This project began as a consequence of a series of conversations in 2010 between Charles Jones and Peter Magierski at NYU about the need for a tool to assemble and distribute information on open access material relating to the Middle East. Provides a link to the portal site for Brill online reference works encyclopedias subscribed to by BU Libraries, including the Brill's New Pauly (English translation), Der Neue Pauly (German original), Encyclopedia of Women & Islamic Cultures. Digital atlas of Roman and medieval civilizations

Consists of mapping and spatial analysis of the Roman and medieval worlds. Coverage begins under the Roman empire and extends to the medieval world. Although the initial post-Roman focus has been on medieval Europe, Byzantium and the Crusades have not been neglected, and the Islamic world coverage is increasing. Documenting the American South

Provides access to digitized documents and images regarding the American South from the first colonies in Virginia through the 20th century. Documents are organized into 14 themed collections (Oral Histories of the American South, North American Slave Narratives, Charlotte, etc.) and are compiled by the University Library at the University of North Carolina from its research collections and institutions. Primary sources are key elements of this collection with includes, maps, books, letters, memoirs, and rare books. Several of the collections focus on North Carolina, however, a geographic search shows 44 of the 50 states are represented in the documentation. Oxford biblical studies online

Functions as an electronic clearing house for OUP's publications in Bible and Biblical studies. Brings together and makes electronically available, a wide variety of OUP published resources including study Bibles (e.g. Oxford Study Bible, Jewish Study Bible), articles from OUP produced reference works (Oxford Encyclopedia of the Bible, Oxford Encyclopedia of Archaeology in the Near East, etc.), and biblical study tools (Concise Concordance to New Revised Standard Version). Also included are OUP published commentaries (one volume, whole Bible commentaries), biblical timelines, bibliographies, and thematic guides. This resource is a good starting point for those new to the field, researching unfamiliar topics. However, it is not a one stop shop. Primary texts and reference articles will need supplementing with research articles and monographic works.
