Draws on the manuscript collections of over 25 university libraries and special collections. This resource unites ". . . scattered resources from many institutions into an international tool for teaching and scholarly research." The advantage of the items in Digital Scriptorium lies in the selection of manuscripts which were signed and dated by their scribes. This provides the novice and the scholar with a verifiable record of scripts, artists, styles, and quality. Content includes medieval and renaissance manuscripts of classical, medieval, and renaissance works in over 25 languages of the period (Greek, Latin, Aramaic, Arabic as well as the spoken and written vernacular languages of the time). Medieval family life

Brings together the manuscripts and printed editions of the papers and letters of five families from 15th century England in a searchable, digital format. Full color images of the manuscripts may be viewed side-by-side with the text of the printed editions. Collectively these materials provide insight into late medieval family life, business, social and community connections, and politics.
